See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1
Jesus. By His own authority, He laid down His life to sin and death only to raise it back up again for us. By His Spirit He has resurrected Himself among us that we might partake of the eternal love and power that is sustained within the supremacy of His image. For Jesus accomplishes only that which is in the heart of our Father.
We are not to be ashamed of the Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God for His words liberate us and maintain our salvation for all who receive the love of the Father. Jesus says: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Jesus saves body, mind, and spirit. At the point of His death, he cried out “It is finished.” His blood and resurrection power sealed your faith and my faith to the very end. His victory is ours to keep. He heals us to the core and if that were not enough, He invites each of us daily to discover the character of our God; the love, care, and protection of our Father.
What I treasure most about my natural father and what I believe mirrors most the love of my heavenly Father can be summed up in three experiences: the instances where he guided me, the moments he embraced me, and the times he would listen to me. All of our earthly fathers may fall short, some of us carry tremendous heartache not experiencing the true love of a father but may that not be the narrative that taints your faith. Don’t overlook the hand of God that knocks at the door of your heart.
Your Father calls you by name. He is a father of the fatherless and a defender for the widows. He makes your heart His home. Your identity is held secure by His Spirit who fills your heart with confidence and a love that cannot fail you. The love of the Father orients you to an encounter with your true self, a self stripped from the lies and the deceit, a self unhampered by the corruption of others, a self free from the bondage of evil intent to discover the magnitude of the love the Father wants to unleash upon you.
It’s by God’s divine power you have everything you need for life. Let Him instruct you in the way you should go for His plans are to prosper you and not to harm you but to give you a hope and a future. Open your heart that you may receive a new level of assurance to take your rightful place as a child of God. His desire is for you to walk in a supernatural peace, armed with a fortified hope that emboldens you to say “No matter the circumstances I’m facing, God is my defense, my provider, and the source of my life- the best is yet to come!” His ears are attentive to your voice and attentive to the tone of your heart, faithful to protect and to respond.
