Heart for Renewal

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 11:19

The Lord is faithful to welcome us into a new day filled with new compassions and new mercies. There is no favoritism with God, for it’s available to every heart. The Lord knows what we are in need of even before we speak and we desperately need fresh grace, new strength, and a cleansed perspective for the day ahead. The things of yesterday have passed, behold the new has come!

For Isaiah 43:18-19 says:

Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past. “Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it?

If we consistently confess the Word of God with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus’ Spirit leads us into truth that sets us free, then our hearts will continually open for renewal. A transformational process of the heart takes an active faith in relationship with the One who created it. We cannot think that by our own strength or wisdom we will outsmart the evil one, see deliverance come, or break free from the monotony our flesh takes comfort in because of the constant inner struggle and distracted living.

It’s time to for the children of God to rise up.All of us who are carefree and complacent, He is desiring a new beginning for us to hear His voice so that an authentic encounter with Jesus would be a constant reality in our lives. We cannot live on yesterday’s grace, we need a resurgence, a renewal to bombard our hearts to uproot the cause of apathy, a critical spirit, and a victim mentally.

Give ear to your first love, the true desire of all people is Jesus. He is the author and maker of your life. He did not suffer a horrendous death and choose to become the ultimate victim at the hands of human cruelty and wickedness to see you in a constant state of brokenness produced by the deceit of sin. You are not to be a wanderer any longer. Jesus calls you by name, He clothes you with His righteousness, His joy, and His peace that you may walk in love and in freedom. May we have eyes to see and ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord yearns to impart into our hearts.

Let us not miss out in discovering who we are as children of the Most High. Each day is an opportunity to reap the eternal benefits, the fruit of His goodness. Let us enjoy this cleansed heart of ours, one that is fully able to experience the presence of God through the blood of Christ that speaks for us. The soil of our hearts, free from prickly thorns and thistles will thirst for and gladly receive springs of everlasting water to produce in us the wondrous fruit of God’s Spirit. A heart restored in Jesus, is a heart filled with the grace to accept holy conviction toward humility, correction, repentance, and the power of forgiveness.

Jesus invites us to engage in His creative nature everyday day because He is God of the now, ready to impart new opportunities for you to exercise your faith nourished by daily communion with your Father. His companionship leads you into peace and into deeper reality of His faithfulness. It’s in His nature to impart new life, new hope, and new motivation to love more passionately than yesterday. He gives of His Holy Spirit that you may live in the confidence of His presence today. Release your heart to Him in His steadfast love. Believe and be made new today.
