A Living Hope
“I will open rivers on the bare heights, the fountains in the midst of the valleys. I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.” – Isaiah 41:18
Jesus makes all things new. The good news of the living Word reminds us that within the passing of time- our past, present, and future are sustained in His hands. Victory meets us at every turn because the Spirit of Jesus is our renewal. The old has passed, behold the new is at hand. Jesus does not dwell on our past but does not discard it either. He leaves nothing to waste as He cares about every detail of our lives. It is written: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Ro. 8:28). His Spirit is able to generate new hope for a new beginning.
We are dearly loved by God. He is able to restore back to you what the enemy has taken from you. We are His children. Let the current of God’s love empower you to put your hope in Him. He is our constant and present help for every-day living. May the River of everlasting life come upon us without reservation. It’s in His presence that we are continually being refreshed, revived, and restored. Let us enter into this year truly believing we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus:
I took you from the ends of the earth,
from its farthest corners I called you.
I said, ‘You are my servant’;
I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Is. 41:9-10
Let us not be entangled by the burdens of yesterday. Receive this day with a living hope. There is no one like our God who can do a transformative work in our hearts and minds. May our hearts be free to allow the purity of His love to overflow in our lives. Only Jesus has the power to fill our mouths with a promise and a declaration that continually reaffirms the best is ever before us. As we move forward in faith and with humble hearts, we will hear from heaven and respond in confidence to receive a future and a living hope.
Humility in spirit and hearts armoured with faith will invite the Spirit of the Lord to spring forth a new type of hope. It’s the kind of hope that releases rivers of everlasting waters to spring out from us. Prayer is the entry point to rediscovering an unfailing hope.
Let us pray for Jesus’ resurrection power to forever fortify our hope. Let the hope of Christ fill our time, our seasons, our family life, and our aspirations. May His hope be the motivator behind the breakthrough for the barren places of our lives this new year. Let us contend and believe in the mighty name of Jesus to transform our hearts and our relationships that many would see the might of God’s love in tangible ways like never before. May the covenant of His love be the cornerstone of our hearts and may the power of hoping in the name of Jesus be our resting place. Draw near to God and embrace unfailing hope today.
