Rediscovering Prayer

Description

At the center of God’s heart is His ultimate yearning for nearness with His creation. God wants nothing more but to have an authentic and intimate relationship with His children. God is not an abstract, distant, or foreign God. He is Creator of humanity. God is your Father, your best friend, and your greatest counselor. How does one discover these truths? One primary way to discover the love of God is through the practice of prayer. Prayer is the universal language of the human heart. Like any language, people are to incorporate the various facets of the language in order to speak it and comprehend it. The universal language of prayer has two main facets we must embrace in order to have a rich prayer life: 1. Continually discovering the potency of the Word of God and 2. Continually activating your faith in God the Father, the saving power of Jesus Christ and the revelation of the Holy Spirit to motivate you to surrender to the heart of God. We need to learn this language by practicing it through the guidance of the Holy Spirit in prayer. In order to cultivate your unique prayer language, you must continually discover who you are as a child of God.
